IMPORTING FROM ARCHITECTURAL PROGRAMS VIA IFC

AxisVM uses IFC 2.x, 2x2, 2x3 formats to import architectural models . AxisVM creates a structural model from the architectural information determining the centerline and cross-section of columns and beams, shape and thickness of slabs and applying certain geometry corrections. Material properties and loads can be assigned to the elements.

IFC file import was tested with the IFC output of the following applications

  • Revit

  • ArchiCAD

  • Architectural Desktop

  • MicroStation Tri-Forma

  • Nemetschek AllPlan

  • Tekla Structures

 

Exporting TO CIVIL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING PROGRAMS VIA IFC

AxisVM can export IFC files which can be imported by

  • RAM CADstudio

  • Revit Structures

  • Bentley Structural

  • Design Data

  • Tekla Structures

 

 

AxisVM - Tekla Structures connection is made through  a COM server

OTHER SUPPORTED FORMATS

  • DXF export and import. Import to background layer or as a structural framework.
