RC2 - REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMN AND BEAM DESIGN

Checking reinforced concrete columns

  • User defined defined reinforcement parameters for calculation of the load-moment strength interaction diagram
  • Column reinforcement editor with group rebar placement, copying, rotating, mirroring
  • Results:
    • Nxd, Myd, Mzd design forces

    • Eccentricity increments according to the design code

Beam reinforcement design

RC2 allows reinforcement design of rectangular or T-shaped beams and ribs (ribbed plates) for bending in the symmetry plane with negligible axial force. Beam is supposed to have a constant cross-section and material. Longitudinal top and bottom reinforcement has the same steel grade, strirrups can be made of different grade.

RC4 - PAD FOOTING DESIGN

RC4 can determine the necessary size and reinforcement of rectangular pad foundations (with or without pedestal), and can check the footing against sliding and punching according to Eurocode7 and MSz.

Using the soil profile and the internal forces this module determines the necessary size of the foundation in an iterative process. Then it calculates the effective area of the foundation for load cases and combinations, the design forces, moments and resistances, efficiencies and the shear reinforcement if necessary. The module also checks the stability of the footing.

Surface reinforcement design

Punching analysis 

Punching shear control perimeters are determined based on the column cross-section and the effective plate thickness. Plate edges and holes are taken into account if they are closer to the column than six times the effective plate thickness.  If column cross-section is concave a convex section is used instead.
